Landskapelser | 05:00 | HD | 2022
Geology has a different time perspective than man. The evolving landscapes have been present for thousands of years, and will continue to exist long after humanity is gone. Landskapelser are an attempt to compress, stretch and control both the physical and metaphysical aspects of geology and our existence through reconstructing and creating new landscapes. Various accounts of creation tell of the moment when something arose, when something came into being. From darkness to light. Landskapelser tells us about the ecology of which humans are a part, and the time we have with and in it. We are active for a short time, we produce images and information at a fast pace, but in the landscape the changes take place on a different time scale. The video work Landskapelser appears, with its massive soundscape as a possibility study, as much as a doomsday prophecy.
