Blok P Deconstructed | 29:35 | HD | 2023

The film shows the careful deconstruction of a modernist building in the capitol Nuuk in Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland) and reflects on hegemonies in architecture and history / how architecture and aesthetics are facilitating hegemonic structures / power structures. The film explicitly shows how future scenarios and new stories can be told through the film medium.

The film is part of Carsten Aniksdal`s artistic research and contribution to the project «Urban Transformation in a Warming Arctic», University of Tromsø. Other outcomes of the project will be a Photo-book, published on Mondo Books, tentatively in 2024.
